My broad beans all have black tips, the frost i think, will they recover or should i start again ?

I think if you cut the tops off they will resprout, sending out more shoots. Although I wouldn't do it until this heavy cold snap is finished. How tall are they? Did you sow them too early?Comment

The worst affected is about 8 inches tall and outside the fleece tunnel. The others are smaller but all black to.dome degree. I planted them in oct.Comment

Much too early for an Autumn sowing especially down South. Mid Nov is probably early enough, in mild Winters you could sow in Dec. they just need to get their feet in the ground and start a root system, you don't want lovely new soft growth too early in the year.Originally posted by Newbiegrower1970 View Post
