  • Knee pads

Any recommendations for knee pads? Have the usual ground pads, but you forget to move them at times. Probably an age thing! Have looked on EBay & Amazon and there's plenty to choose from, but hard to see how much padding there is on each.

I bought a set of the Tommyco Hard Knee Pads from B&Q. Have to say excellent so far with one minor problem.

Only "problem" is that the stretch stuff behind one of the straps as split, does not effect it but a little annoying. Easy to repair if I get round to it. Suppose it will eventually get worse. I have likely tightened them up a bit too much too often.

They also do a Gel one for a whole £ more.

If I do not repair my strap bit I would likely try these gel ones out. But the one first are good and comfortable.
I end up kneeling on ground, wood, concrete everything with no great concern, except the getting up bit at the end.

Or you could consider a pair of work trousers built in knee pads, plenty of pockets and very hard wearing. I use Snickers but there are cheaper options.

I'm glad this thread started when it did. It reminded me of some old knee pads I've had stored away for years. Dug them out last night to use while trimming at the base of my blueberries and raspberries. They made a world of difference. Thanks!
