  • My tomatoes this year.

I grow Alicante and Moneymaker. This year both have hardly any branches, meaning a minimum amount of trimming etc. BUT I have an abundance of fruit, strange.

I have Moneymaker and they have plenty of leaf, well they did till I removed most of it.

Up to yet I've only removed the leaves below tom trusses, but seeing as we hardly had any sunshine I'm going to be taking of more leaves soon.

Marmande & Moneymaker, lots of fruit but i had to take most ov them offthe vine to ripen due to blight. Unfortunatley most have now been binned due to blight.

        The chillis done ok though

^^ Lovely looking fruit, Slappy. Not sure if you do this, but I'd separate a few out and put them with an apple (or other ripe tomato) as the gas given off by the apple helps them to ripen.

Mine are looking a bit sorry for themselves, to be honest. There are too many plants this year (Mr Snoop's enthusiasm and a gift from a friend). Am thinking of uprooting the Cuor di Bue, which are looking surprisingly sorry for themselves, just to save water and effort.
