Hi Paul. Welcome to the Vine! "Keep" seems to me rather an odd word to use for something that's already well-rotted. Won't it only get better rotted with more time? Although if you're living somewhere with cold winters it should decompose more slowly in the next few months. But I don't really know because I live a long way from any source of seaweed at the moment and haven't used it.Last edited by Zelenina; 13-11-2017, 08:59 AM.

I was listening to old episodes of Gardeners Question Time whilst in the garden yesterday and one of the questions was 'how long do feeds, such as tomato feed and various other fertilizers last'.
The general consensus was that they would be fine for next year - but they would probably have lost a bit of their potency.
Me, I would bottle what you have left - for use next spring. The remaining 'gunk' left in the barrel, I'd spread over my beds.
I would dig out grandpa's old gasmask from the attic though........because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)
