Pots after onions ?

Next year my spuds were going to follow my alliums but recently read in a packet of verve spuds that they sshouldnt follow them for at least two years.

Its no biggie as I can rearange but I cant remember seeing this anywhere else, at leastnot the two year part anyway.

Is it so ?

RHS say it’s alright in this link,I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about it,if there was an onion disease maybe it could affect the potatoes or something to do with bad nematodes?
