Where abouts in Seaforth are you? (Roughly obviously, for security reasons)
We live fairly near the adult education centre on Cambridge Road.

The allotments on Beech Road are ideal. Unfortunately, the waiting list is somewhat lengthy - there were apparently 58 people waiting for one of 89 plots in February of this year.

The last time we visited the site, though, a large number of plots looked overgrown. I think "turnover" is very low, which in one sense is fair enough, but it doesn't offer much hope to those of us on the list.

(If indeed we are on it. My partner has been "on the list" for two years. The last time we enquired as to where we might rank on said list, we were invited to write our names again on a bookie's pad. Rather unsurprisingly, we've not heard anything.)

No luck when we asked about a half plot, either...
    Still, we'll keep trying.

Don't suppose you know anyone on Beech Road that might like to share?

Sorry, I am not in that area so I don't know anyone there. But keep trying.
If I hear of anyone I will let you know.
There are some people with houses with pretty big gardens dotted about all over the place and a lot of the time they are underused; don't know if you have any there? You could perhaps advertise for one of these to contact you to 'share' the land they have.
        Good luck with your search
