I also have swedes ready, with PSB and Spring greens still to come. Still have JA's to dig, loads of kale and cabbages, swiss chard, perpetual spinach and winter lettuces.
WOW!!! Just shows what we could all be harvesting now if we all put our mind to it.

One of the gardens I have been looking after has been offered to me free of charge, so long as I grow veg for the hotel too. But it is mine for doing with as I see fit.
Well happy as it has a large fig tree, established strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, gooseberry, redcurrant and whitecurrant bushes as well as plum, apple, pear and almond trees in another section that are mine to harvest as I see fit.
It also has two heated greenhouses and a number of cold frames
The catch - I have to keep it tidy !
How lucky are you??? If you were not so far away I would have come and helped!!! any pics?

Here are a couple of piccies taken this morning. I paced it all out and the veg / fruit beds total 1600 square yards, excluding the beds along each of the four walls. And there are two fig trees ! The last photo shows the hotel and some of the fruit trees.

Whooo Nicos, I think I owe you a formal apoplogy! Checked your profile and no age shown but you are always so sensible and give such mature answers that I assumed you weren't dead young. (Am I getting anywhere with this or just digging the hole deeper?)

Now I need to apologise to all the young ones for the implication that they are all air-heads!

I think I'd better just keep my mouth shut and my feet firmly in my wellies!

PS Sewer Rat you are wearing well!

What a gem SR! Like Snadger, I wonder who would stop cultivating a garden like that.
