  • Allotments available in Tameside

Hello, I am new to the Tameside area and am investigating renting an allotment should one become available.

I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of how they differ, eg which are the larger sites in terms of number of plots, are livestock permitted on any etc

I am based in Ashton but its not essential that its in the town

    Any info appreciated :-)

Well a quick search on google (tameside allotments)tells you all about the allotments, but it also shows that there don't look to be available, but you could phone the chap up - his phone number is there too.

Oh - welcome to the Vine!

there are none available at the moment, but there are 100 due to come up in ashton sometime ..... down on the moss near the motorway somewhere, the people that own the land will be giving the council enough for them (once they get round to it) the allotment bloke, isn't sure about livestock, health and safety muppet, cos of M60, but tameside allotments only allow poultry, so hopefully we can pressure em into it by having enclosed chooks, my suggestion, fill in the online form, and you will get notified when they are available, apparently it's best to fill in the form before ringing so they have a record

hope that helps PS i'm in ashton too xx

Speak to your local councillor, my parents both cover Droylsden where I know there are non. Speak to Quiran Quinn he lives in Audenshaw near to the moss and is a local councillor, just google him and you get his deatils.
