Looking for An Allotment in East London

I'm desperately looking for an allotment site (or even half site) in the Newham, Barking or Redbridge areas. The waiting lists in East London are horrifying - so I'm trying hard to take matters into my own hands. I'd also be happy to share a site - or even to help out somebody who may have an allotment but is not so able to work it (for whatever reason). I just desperately want to grow things....

Hu Bobohuman-whereabouts are you? I have an allotment in chigwell rd in redbridge. I don't know if you've tried but there seems to be some empty plots...
