i dont know how true this is but if you have six people who are looking, your council have to provide you with somethig. Get some friends together and be patient give it a go!
After having meetings with the council every 6 months it dont work !
They only have to 'look into' finding suitable sites and this can take many years !! They have to find a site with soil that is good enough for allotments, get the land use changed and only then would the site be approved and all this can take years !! if they want to drag their feet they will ! As long as they look like they are doing something about finding new sites they are within the law !
We have a federation in Bournemouth of all the lottie sites and we have Peter Whiteing as our chairman the chairman of the NSALG ! and if he cant put pressure on who can ???
We had a meeting this week and they are still dragging their feet, one site the soil was no good ect ect, so we have said to extend 2 of the sites that can be extended and that really threw a spanner in the works !!! no excuses about toilets, and the general infrastructure so we wait to hear how they will worm their way out of that one !

We've only got a local waiting list of 10 and there's easily 10 lotties that could be made available in our village. What about when there is a waiting list of hundreds? The council closed our county waiting list last summer so you can't even get put ON a waiting list now.
If they have allotments, you just get put on the list. Or tell you the list is closed.
