There is currently a huge shake up in the council down here for taking plots away from people who are not using them. We have had ours for a couple of months now and are just getting started really but there are people who have 3-4 or more plots going to waste...just lying around growing weeds and the council are redistributing them. Anyone looking for a plot in the Bath area contact your council now. We were told we would have a 2 year wait and got ours within 3 months of being on the waiting list. Good luck!
