  • Allotments available in Partington, Trafford, Manchester!

Hi all, anyone local who's interested in a plot there's a couple going at the Moss View Allotments, off Broadway in Partington. Its a Council run site, rent approx £40 a year, plots are usually 10m by 25m, with water taps on every fourth one, free bark chippings and leaf mulch, has a cabin with loos and is a very friendly site! Anyone interested just holler and I'll provide some more details or answer any questions you may have!

There's a website featuring the local allotments here

I know Dexter and Bella would have a wonderful time! In an ideal world they could have their own plot and dig up bones all day! LOL DDL

Very close to me but not close enough, as we've said before I'm the wrong council so no go - such a shame! Would have been even better with my old job as I used to drive through Partington every day to get to south Manchester.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I and my two daughters would love a plot on moss view. my eldest daughter is part of the mothers group that runs the kids allotment next to partington church. I retire next year and have been talking about a plot for some time, I have a intersting garden based on a water theme as I keep coy, have tried vegis but dont have the room as my garden is small & all flowers/water, this is my first time on a forum so dont know how things work properly. will i have to put request in writing to Janet Long. cheers John Firth

Hi John, Moss View is currently full, with a waiting list, but pass me your details and I'll get them to the site secretary to go on the waiting list if you'd like?

We've just relet 5 plots that weren't being worked, so depending on how the new tennants do there may be some coming up (or not as the case may be!)

Other than that get in touch with Janet Long at Trafford, she's the allotment officer for Trafford and may be able to give you some advice!

                    Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm new to this site but would like to contact Janet with an allotment enquiry.
I'd appreciate if you could forward her contact details to me.

                      Thanks

                      Dave

Dave, I don't know how successful you will be, the last post re available allotments was two years ago. Janet Long's address is on the first post (which is dated 2006) and we don't have any more contact details now other than the address:
