Applications for South Aberdeenshire Allotments

There are no allotments in South Aberdeenshire (I'm in the Mearns) but I've been speaking with Aberdeenshire Council and they have advised that if there's interest they will look into procuring a site (they need names and interest before they will look into this so the more of us there are the better our chances).

Anyhow, I now have a form, but it did take ages to arrive and a few chase-ups. I've taken photocopies so if you're interested in applying for an allotment/stating your intererest drop me a PM.

Wish you best of luck with that. Trying to get an allotment here in Glasgow is a nightmare (though maybe actually just as bad as everywhere else?), so it might be easier for me to get one there

They suggested that I look at getting allotment in Huntly., Erm, that's 52 miles away from me.

Hey Amanda

Have you heard anything back from the Council yet since you submitted that form? I haven't, think I might chase them up and see how things are progressing or have you already done that and been met with a negative response?

I live near to Balmedie with a large garden. I wanted to offer a couple of allotments (size 10ft x 30 ft) to any interested parties. Have 5 all together but currently use 2 and one for storage of logs which could be moved if there is interest.
