A little place called Gorsley

I am SOOOOOOOOO excited. I have to share this with someone!
I have lived in my tiny house with an even smaller garden for nearly two years now, being restricted to pots for a garden.
I asked for an allotment in my town but as soon as I got a wiff of one the council sold the land.
So, plan B. I was working 10 miles down the road and signed up to their allotment at No. 38 in the waiting. ( I moved 3 places in 4 months!!)
Today I have found a site 4 mile away being renovated to a 24 plot 10 rod, rabbit proof site with running water. Four people are keeping their plots and I was the 18th person to enquire. So unless something awful happens like the land turns in to a swap or something. I will finally have a plot in Two months. Freshly cultivated and ready to go.
YAY
So if any one would like a plot in little Gorsley, there are six left.

I know that feeling of anticipation when you know you're going to finally get a plot! Good isn't it!?

Bet you get sowing loads of stuff in pots so that you can get some plants in ASAP!

I have no idea if it is or not. There is a post office. I am going to visit the site today, I will pop in the shop and find out!! It is one of those villages I aways seem to drive through and not stop.
And yes,
I have started to put together a plan!! My first stop is to put in my long suffering Black currents and raspberries and give them the chance to spread their roots. I have also got some cranberries and strawberries to put in the ground.
I'm like a five year old on xmas eve

Yes it is just down from Kilcot.
I visited the site on Wednesday. It is in a pickle at the moment but it is in a beautiful site. It has an unused Quarry at the back with a pond at the bottom and trees all around. It is also in the middle of nowhere down some country lanes. I drove past it twice trying to find it.
I have started some cauliflowers just to make myself feel better as I know as soon as I get it I will be over whelmed.

Fabulous news - it sounds a marvellous place. A pond as well, imagine the wildlife it'll get.

Can you have a shed then (I no nothing about allotments), they seem a neccessary place, if only to keep your kettle and tea in!

Grr, Damn Damn Damn.
I received a letter today explaining that there have been some unforeseen problems with wire embedded in the ground and water logged grounds slowing the ploughing. And then it goes on to mention Round-up, fencing and contractors and not being ready until Autumn.
I know these things can't be helped, but I have planted many seedlings for the plot and bought 3kg of seed potatoes.
I will be having another season growing out of pots with no room to put them. To add insult to injury, I have got some fantastic seeds which will be sitting in their packet for another year. And I will miss a whole gardens worth of divine home grown flavours.
