Greetings folks,
I am on the committee of The Ochil Allotment Association, a relatively recently (late 2009) constituted association who have been arranging to set up a new allotment site in Clackmannanshire since November 2009. Our work appears to be paying off, and we are now able to advertise more widely than word-of-mouth. We are therefore holding a public meeting at Sauchie Hall, Mar Place, Alloa on 22nd June, a Wednesday to announce the new site, accept new members and answer any questions people may have.
Briefly, the site will have a total of 34 plots of 10x20m (including 8 half-size plots) and we expect to allow access at the beginning of October (once the current farmers crop has been harvested).
I don't know if there is anyone on this forum who lives in the area (and whilst preference is obviously to those living closest, we are not a council site and can accept membership from further afield), but if you are looking for a plot, please come along on 22nd June to have a chat and perhaps sign up for our allotment.
Thanks,
Adam Savage
