Private allotment in holderness (east Yorkshire)

I am thnking of using part of my garden as an allotment for one person only.
The reason I want to do this are as follows:
I would love my own home grow veg but working full time and having a large garden to maintain I have no time.
Also the land is just sat there unused.
There is nothing there at this current time - Are people willing to start allotments from scratch. Provide their own greenhouse / shed if hey want?

What is the yearly charge for an allotment. I would think of not charging as long as i can be provided with veg. But this would have to be discussed and agreed.
