It looks like Ashton Allotments Action group are going to be granted a lease on the land for 50 years!
So if you're in that area and want an allotment you should probably get in touch with them!

I wonder - should I take on another plot for my stepdad (he lives on the Ashton border)?

It might stop him trying to take over every time he comes down to help on my plot, but I doubt it
