Allotment wanted Irthlingborough and surrounding

hi all

does anyone have an allotment around the irthlingborough area of northamptonshire?

we are moving house and unfortunately have to downsize our very large garden too. We would need somewhere where could keep our four hens. We don't mind needing to start again and cultivate, any condition considered. We would consider surrounding areas too.

Have you tried the council website for the area you are moving to. They tend to list council allotments and give details or rules, costs etc.

hi thanks i have, however the councils website just gives links as they don't actually own any! i guess they have sold all the land to the highest bidder...

Our Council used to own the allotments round here, but they were handed over to the local allotment association a few years ago.

You probably have a similar situation. Try asking at the local library - they should know.
