Today I rotavated a new bed outside the polytunnel and edged it with timber that was lying about - it's approx 30 sq. metres. Edged one side with some parsley plants but not yet 100% decided what I'll put in it. Did think about strawberries but it ain't big enough for them all and I want them all in one place.
Then the build-it bug hit and I set about constructing a mini greenhouse / coldframe using two fully glazed doors I got from a flood damaged house a while back, so that meant moving all my blue barrels of water (soon to be seaweed feed) and attaching the frame to the shed.
Job done, I went up to the walled garden, had a natter with the sous-chef, then collected my first sowings of lettuce, spring onions, rocket and mizuna, returned to the polytunnel and planted them into their final growing positions.
Checked on my mixed salad CCA bed- all germinating away quite happilyRat

Well I've had quite a productive day today I've sown my last lot of tomatoes, mostly the ones for other people - Sungold, Gartenperle, Black Cherry, and Tamina; some HSL peppers - Soror Sarek; Celery - Greensleeves; Marigolds - Citrus Mixed; Lettuces & leaves - Salad Bowl, Mini Green, Lakeland, Set, Colour Shades Mixed; and, more Broad Beans - Crimson Flowered.
Really pleased with myself, plus, the OH has finally set up the heater in the g/house and taken out my big tray of tomatoes and chillis
