At the estate garden I work at on a Thursday, after some general estate work, I dug over and replanted strawberry beds in fruit cage which were seriously weed ridden and overcrowded, and then marked out the shape and size of the new veg beds - about doubling in size the area available

hehe, sounds like Fantasia, binley.
I sowed a big tray of back-up tomatoes in the propagator - to back up the ones i sowed in January.
loads of Latah (saved seeds from last year's fruit)
some Galina, Red Cluster Pear and Amish Paste.
Also, collected a bag-full of shells from the beach, crushed them with a hammer and added the resulting chalky stuff to my compost bins.
This should do everything "Rockdust" claims to do. (or at least add a few minerals).Last edited by timethatthetaleweretold; 11-03-2011, 11:48 PM.
