      • put up and filled another raised bed.

planted 3 types of chard ( I love it!)

        pak choi,

2 types of salad leaves and some peas for pea sprouts.

lots of seeds beginning to sprout in the pots despite only being sown a week ago.

Husband cleared most of the wilderness aka flower beds and moved cold frame to a more suitable position.

Seriously beginning to think we haven;t enough space for everything , looks like another bit of lawn will have to go!

        • Took hubby and strimmer to the lottie where he performed admirably until his battery ran down Going back to finish the nettles later when recharged (both hubby and strimmer, one plugged in and the other eating a big grill up)

          • Yesterday - to the plot for an hour. It is so dry, but my nasturtiums are coming through! Relocated some broadies that I planted at the end of the row in case of failures. Planted out some cauli plants. Picked the heads off 9 million dandelions, dug up two buckets full to give to neighbours chooks.
Then home and potted on tumbling toms, gherkins and cukes. Planted some radish, spring onions and beetroot in the raised beds in the garden. Planted out the sweet peas at the front around a very ugly wire structure that they should grow up and around and disguise .... theoretically!

                    • Potted on more tomatoes, chillis, aubergines.
Sowed minidor beans, runner beans, yellow and green courgettes, butternut squash. Sowed a few more sweetcorn in the root trainers that haven't germinated.
Sorted through seed box to find what to sow now but ran out of compost so had to stop there.
Watered broad beans, garlic, shallots and carrots. Actually have tiny seedlings appearing for the first time ever, so this year, I may actually grow carrots, woohhoo!!

                          • Today I sowed some radish and lettuce. To cover I used two metal trays that used to be in a grow house (it got destroyed in the winds) and made some bird scarers using sweet wrappers, garden twine and canes. Look very colourful!

I also planted out some red baron and hytech onion sets.

                              • Planted a few more onions sets after tickling the soil over with a hand fork.
                                Picked some more rhubarb.
Made a bucket of Comfrey tea.
Spotted a rat in my shed so set a trap baited with chocolate.
                                Watered my seedlings.

Sunny but cold so went home a bit earlier as I had a rough day at work.
