Washed all my small pots and plant labels. Then took down the propagator and cleaned that out as well.
Sowed lots of peppers and tomatoes so I am finally getting on track.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Far more than I intended to because when I first tapped one of the packets none came out so I tapped harder (and didn't want to put them back in case my hands were still slightly wet) - and then I did exactly the same with the next packet.
I ended up sowing them in a half size seed tray instead of 3" pots so I had to write three labels and stick them on quickly, while I could still remember which end was which.
...then I realised that I hadn't watered them yet.
Couldn't put the tray in water or the ink would run, couldn't water such small seeds from the top, Grumpy wasn't available to tell me where he had hidden the sprayer... :sigh:
I also put one of the pots of sweet pea seeds I sowed on 4th into the airing cupboard. I sowed four packets. I've had an excellent germination rate from two of the varieties and nothing at all from the other two, so we'll see what happens with a bit more warmth.
checked the heated prop and the ceyanne peppers and chillies are doing well. the cucumbers i sowed on friday evening have sprouted and are at least 5-8cm tall almost touching the lid of the prop, is that normal or have i started them too soon, if so should i repot them outside the propogator, say, on a sunny window sill?
May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Peeped into the propagator several times - does that count?
Of course it does .....(as long as somethings in there tho' )
Chopped down the overgrown hedge behind our shed at the lottie so that rain can actually find the gutters.......had a cuppa and watched the birds.........piled all the branches tidily ready for a bonfire at the weekend (obviously will check for wildlife first)......had another cuppa and admired the garlic growing away.....
came home and sowed some more bored beans, aubs and chillis .....pricked out onions . A good day

Repotted blueberry into a bigger pot as it is starting to bud up. Threw PSB into compost as it has died???? Turned compost over. Re planted some bulbs that the foxes had dug up out of a pot. Took some rose cuttings.
Potted up some Egyptian walking onion bulbs that were starting to sprout, as well as some bulbils from some Welsh onions (We're not sure why they made bulbils instead of seeds, so this is experimental).
Laid out some International Kidney and Mayan Gold potatoes to start chitting.
Planted out some Babington's leeks that a kind soul sent to me.
Planted another few pots of Chillies, planted a second lot of Elephant and standard garlic, will be tnterested to see what crop does best.
Cleaned/disinfected greenhouse.

Today I sowed some annuals for the front garden in the propagator - Lantana, Nicotiana and Carnation pinks. I also bought tomato seed and some fabulous, almost black, opium poppy seed.
Have also been clearing the greenhouse ready for a sluic down with ***** or somehting stronger.
Will also think about pruning the apple trees and roses soon.
Its a GD time of year!
Today was a quick visit to the Lottie. Checked on the polytunnel, to discover the spring onions I’d sown before Christmas had popped their heads out of the soil.
Thankfully the lettuce seedlings (planted the same day as spring onions) haven’t been eaten by pests, as I’d forgot to put down some organic slug pellets!
