Have cleaned off and re-erected patio table and chairs, priorities and am currently enjoying a cuppa sat at them watching all my plants grow in the sun.

Today: Hoiked all the pots out from the back of the shed. Planted some more leeks, and some more carrots in pots outside.
Sowed 4 kinds of tomato, and sweet and chilli peppers. Potted on my aubergines, which are now looking very sad indeed- hope I haven't killed them off! Put aubergines on windowsill with bottle cloches (more an anti cat device than anything else, last year my horrors munched all my seedlings and I had to buy plants) and put the peppers and tomatoes inthe propogator.
Planted some el-cheapo dried marrowfat peas that I will use as pea shoots in salads, plus some more salad leaves, shoved them all into the plastic greenhouse.
In the past week I dug up some more space for veggies out front, planted rhubarb crowns and first earlies at the allotment, started putting in a few faised beds and did an awful lot of digging!

Cleared the pots and trellis from the left side of the garden for the new fence to be started tomorrow - no more patchwork fence - hurrah!
Planted out the broadies at the allotment, now have 2 crops in the ground there.
Sowed leeks, brokali Apollo, cauliflower, cabbage and sprouts and potted up 60 hellebore
seedlings from last year.
Tomatoes, peppers, chillis and aubergines looking good.

Today I cut up some willow for the fire using the pocket chainsaw. Found a good place for my newly potted auriculas(just came in the post). Had some mix left after potting them (clay, potting compost and rock phosphate), lashed it on a Box and a Clematis growing inseparably together. Planted rosmary and other plants that have been in pots for too long.
Have found the best hand tool for my soil-eh , can't think of the name now. Looks like a tomohalk with one end forked. qb

After two days solid graft in the greenhouse, garden and lottie I have grown a bad back and split fingernails. Cleared brassica bed at lottie and dug over. Sown chillis, more onions, okra, repotted peppers, cleared next door's garden of leaves, pine needles and cones - had a corker bonfire. Planted three tattie bags with Charlotte and Rocket. Planted two pots for front doorstep with double narcissus. Planted a witch Hazel. Barkchipped border 3. Weeded borders 2, 4 and 5. Planted wild garlic ramsons. Ran a hot bath and crawled out and onto sofa.
PS forgot I sowed two rows of peas in guttering after planting out the previous pea seedling occupants on the allotment. Also moved next door's rhodedendron to acid spot under 100 foot pine trees instead of in their alkaline border.Last edited by VirginVegGrower; 20-03-2011, 08:31 PM.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Potted on some chillies and sweet peppers.
Washed out thousands (well, it felt like it) of pots and modules passed on to me this weekend by my lovely mum.
Sowed lemon drop chillies, more shallots and sunflowers and a small sprinkling of mystery brassica seed. I'm hoping they're pak choi, but we'll have to wait and see!come visit a garden
