Im up for your best tasting plum/gage please and will bud onto the nectarine. Where does one send the wine tokens to ?. Think my opal looks a bit sad so wondering if it has silverleaf , canker or just worn out after long summer so not sure on using that. Did add some lime to lift ph yesterday.

INRIP - I can do Aprimira for you if you like. It is a small sweet yellow plum. It has grown and fruited well with little pest and no disease (touch wood)
Pic above L to R - Victoria, Opal, Aprimira, Czar
Lardman - I have been given permission to take scions from a community orchard so am planning a big grafting sesh this year especially as I lost a few in the nursery section. I am the same as you anything interesting. The only named variety I have on my wish list is winston / winter king. Most of my trees are iffy this year all I can offer is Apples - Charles Ross, Worcester Pearmain, Bramley, Sparten. Plum - Aprimira. Pear - Williams. Quince - Vranja. Peach - Avalon. Fig - Brown Turkey, ?Brunswick.Last edited by Norfolkgrey; 08-09-2018, 01:32 PM.

Originally posted by It never rains..it pours View PostNorfolk that would be much appreciated, the yellow amongst purple (if I can do my bit correctly) would look great. The two figs would be great too. Can I ask what the other 3 plums in the pic are ?

Can I tempt you with some tupstones ? Tupstones - Worcestershire Orchards : Worcestershire Orchards and the super early Dodin Doddin - Worcestershire Orchards : Worcestershire Orchards if you like a green apple taste. If you prefer a more American style I can just about get a scion of my (as yet unconfirmed) sweet 16 https://www.orangepippin.com/apples/sweet-sixteen
The rest of the usual suspects are:
Pears
Beth
Onward
Winter Nelis
Apples
Pitmaston Pineapple
Gala
Orleans Reinnette
Egremont Russet
Spartan
Queen Cox
King of the Pippins
Bramley
Dodin
Gladstone
James Grieve
Tupstones
Christmas Pippin
Winston
Kidds Orange Red

Being rather slow to realise more than one variety can be on the same tree. I have just worked out after giving the apple tree that came with this house 2 years ago, its first year of TLC, that it is two varieties. Seems to be a good idea as they are slightly different maturity date and add variety to the eating. Probably other benfits like keeping but not got that far yet.
