Raspberry canes

When I cut my raspberry canes back, should I cover them with anything? i.e. straw ,mulch or manure?

Compost, mulch or manure all help feed the plants for next year

Depends if you have a free draining site or not. If free draining then all that lot will help feed them. If however they are on a swamp then adding manure will only increase root risk so better applied early spring
