My nectarines are about to flower so its time to start this thread for 2019

Nectarine "Fantasia" about 4 years old. Need to find my paintbrush and fly like a bee.

my moorpark apricots are in full flower already, and I am beavering away with my kiddies paint brush, dabbing each one, each day, for the next week, so next will be the big freeze up if the british weather is running normally ,just as the fruit form. peaches are about 2 weeks behind and the nectarines are about 2 weeks behind that, so they shouldn't all fruit together..

Long way ahead of here too. So far, only the almond trees are in blossom. Very pretty but way too early. High daytime temps but very cold at night. Farmers already complaining of lost almond harvest here.

Only the cherry plums out at the moment.

My neighbours plum tree is in blossom. I get to enjoy the ones that come over my side of the fence

Almond Robijn is going over ... apricot Early Moorpark is in flower but it usefully spreads its flowering over several weeks. Beautiful tree.

There were honeybees and bumblebees buzzing away on the almond during the sunny spell, quite a loud sound. I don't think they'll be lacking in pollination.

But TBH, for a better crop, the almond needs a pollen partner, the 2nd one I bought from Martin Crawford ('Ingrid') having died. I may not get around to it this season. Almonds aren't my highest priority although they're a good flowering tree so one may as well plant something which is also edible. Hazels actually 'perform' in this country; I'm still eating last year's crop.

Recent nights have been cloudy = OK but this needs to continue for some time until the young apricots are visibly forming. Then they're much less fragile.

The apricot pollen partner is still too young to have much blossom and the tree shape is being formed. 2020 I think may be the year of so many apricots I get sick of them.

Peach "Jalousia" - the donut peach. They were very small "donuts" last year!!

This one was dug up and moved earlier this year so I'm delighted that it has recovered enough to flower - but will it fruit?

2 Nectarine in a polytunnel. This will be their 3rd year. Year 1 loads from the one on the left and last year just a few from both. Will give them a trim in a couple of weeks time.
