Question about Whitecurrants.

Hi.

Recently, I planted black, red and white currant bushes. While the black and red currants are now coming into leaf, the white currants are still stubbornly dormant. Are they just dormant, or should I be concerned?

Just have to wait and see, as there is no remedial treatment to be done - it'll be easy to tell later on if they are dead or not - if its worth the hassle and they are dead, you could try asking for a refund - be good evidence that it wasn't your fault if the other bushes are OK - may be take a few photos as proof ?

It could be that the white currant is a late variety, still dormant. Do you know what the varieties of your purchases are?

Have you tried scratching a bit of the bark to see if it's green underneath?

The order here tends to be black then red then white into leaf. The white are only just starting to get bud swelling.
