  • Rainbow varieties of tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, roses etc.

    https://www.newchic.com/theme-fruit-...Xc&country=222

Came across this page from something in my email. I have never seen anything like these.

Has anyone ever grown anything like these rainbow things? There's tomatoes, grapes, roses etc etc, all colours.

I'm not planning on buying any, I just wondered if anyone had heard of them or had grown anything like these.

The adverts for rainbow flowers, fruit and veg are a con, nothing naturally grows in the bright colour mixes as shown in the ads.
Yes, some fruit/flowers can have different colours in them but not like those!

Yeh...I got that advert coming up a while back.
I just can't even contemplate that anyone could possibly grow multicoloured fruit and flowers like those piccies show.
I know you can add ink to water to change the colour of cut flowers, but those piccies just look bizarre.

Sorry. Feel free to delete the thread if it helps.

I initially thought it was an early April Fool's tbh but the page seemed legit with prices and checkout etc. which is why I wondered. I haven't gardened for a while so there could well have been some new varieties I wasn't aware of.

            Feel foolish now for asking.

They appear to be a fashion retailer. If you search "newchic review" Trustpilot 1.5/5 and most of the rest of the hits are poor.
Those are worse than the blue roses that usually come in "reputable" catalogues.
Usual rubbish on top, bottom and sidebars, no coloured veg!
Try an adblocker. All bars blank on the browser with adblocker. Trouble is if we all do it they'll probably block site to people using them. Seen it on other sites.

                  Don't be sorry!
We all know there's no such thing as a daft question!.... we all ask daft/educational questions...that's how we learn!
Having said that, with all the new genetic engineering stuff going on these days nothing much would surprise me anymore!

I always recall my granny saying I must make sure I scrubbed behind my ears on a daily basis or I'd be able to grow spuds there....I really believed her for years!
