New grapevine problem

Hi everyone
My new greenhouse grapevine has started to shoot now but something seems to be eating the leaves and new buds.
I have looked all over for signs of bugs but can't find anything that I can think of.
The only thing that is visible is tiny clear balls,eggs?
Is this some kind of bug or mite.
The leaves have big holes in them and then turn rusty,crispy at the edges.
Have tried posting photos but can't seem to get the hang of it.
Any help to what is causing this grapevine problem would be much appreciated.

Sorry to hear you're having some kind of pest attacking your vine! I don't know what it could be, but I can tell you you need a few more posts under your belt before you can post pictures.
I'm sure someone will be along with more knowledge about the pests than I have Best of luck!

Slugs or snails??? It may be worth popping up at night with a torch.

I'd try putting something sticky or gooey round the trunk of the vine near ground level - maybe grease of some kind - wrap a bit of cling-film round it first so you can take it off again cleanly - odds on whatever is doing the damage is crawling up during the night.

Have had a good root around for snails and slugs,plus put slug pellets down at the Base but no culprits caught.
Will try a pesticide.
Can anyone recommend one for use on grapevine.

It's unlikely that you will spot slugs or snails during the day - they come out when it's dark. "Tiny clear balls" are most likely slug eggs.
I wouldn't use a pesticide until you know what the culprit is.
