We have had ground frosts every morning for the past week (and touch wood) the only thing it has damaged is a bit of foliage on one dahlia and all the buds on my outside persimmon. The fruitlets are still attached to my apricot which is a shocker as the last two years they have aborted instantly because of weather.
Most fruit blossom is OK as long as the temp gets no lower than -2 - lower than that it depends on the type of fruit etc, the most sensitive time is when the flowers are fully open ie between bud burst and petal fall.

the lowest temps are at ground level, and the blossom is usually quite high, so that much warmer, my pear trees have been covered in blossom for weeks now and have had gales ,cold, and now lovely warmth, they are a bit tougher than we think or would not have survived the colder weather in the medieval times, a lot colder than nowadays, even so, its fingers crossed time again..
My Conference Pear and Red Windsor apple, both espaliered (not that big yet) have both blossomed and and the blossom is now dying off and blowing away. I suspect that’s normal behaviour, just hope it’s not too early.
I had blossom of my conference pear and concorde pear for a few weeks now but my other concorde has only just starting coming out of dormany in just the last few days...very strange i thought it was dieing but its veryhealthy looking now....just stat getting some very small Cherries coming now on my sunburst tree
I've not killed them yet!
Good news, i have green things where the blossom was - could they be fruit?
Bad news - i have aphids on the growing tips. Removed/squished them. How serious are they? After all, It's not like i can climb up the tree when it gets bigger...
