I have had to put 10 rhubarb crowns into the skip (revamping drive to make life easier) as nobody wanted them, I even put them on the local recycle site, but after 4 weeks I got no interest, and, as they were beside the old drive, they had to go, so that means no more rhubarb crumble from the garden, just as well we have a good local greengrocer..

How sad that nobody wanted them, Buffs. If I'd lived nearer I would have given them a home in the Rhubarbery. You can never have too much rhubarb.

I have to say I'd have been tempted to put them elsewhere. Rhubarb is surely ideal for a bit of guerilla gardening, pop them in some forgotten place, free rhubarb for folk in the area.

That's odd with Freecycle you usually have lots of members after garden stuff.

My soil has a high proportion of sand.
Most rhubarb haven't been happy and have eventually withered and died but Timperley Early does very well for me.
