Why is my Charlotte Russe mulberry plant still just a stick?

My Mulberry has arrived. I'm happy!

Mine has had a years more growth and is no where near as twiggy as yours. Mine is now a stick with a twig out the side I reckon I've been diddled as mine cost twice what yours was and is two years behind in growth.

I'm going to keep mine in a pot over winter because its so small I think I'd lose it in the garden!

Mine arrived today,I opened it this evening,it�s short but with a lovely shape, I was happy to see some leaves and dried mulberries on there
