£10 for a pot grown small stick seems a bit rich? Surely there should have been some growth on it by now. Are these grown on a rootstock or there own roots? The reason I ask is there appears to be a bud coming out of the compost at the bottom of the 'stick'

Why is my Charlotte Russe mulberry plant still just a stick?

Mine has buds on the stick but they haven't opened yet.

My plant, one of the first batch released, growing in the ground, is currently a collection of sticks with no leaves on. I don't think it's necessarily dead just yet though.
Part of me wishes I'd kept it as a houseplant, it looked beautiful and happily fruited away in a 4" pot. I waited til the first fruit ripened before plonking it in the garden. Maybe I'll take a cutting just for in the house. It didn't taste of much mind. The £5 late season sale morus Nigra I picked up last year has begun leafing out in the past few days. I'm not sure anything leafs out later than the Charlotte Russe.

On the bright side - it's unlikely that the new growth will get frosted

You mean that yours isn't producing its first fruits yet?
Neither is mine.
