Difficulty identifying Golden Kiwi Vine purchase

Hello I just bought a Kiwi plant from my local garden store "Hambrooks" the Kiwi plant is called a Actinidia deliciosa Golden Kiki , on the label. The label only details it as female, deliciosa, vine. It fails to say what sub species it is such as Hayward. However It does say Golden Kiki, what sub species is that? I need to buy a Male and at this rate I may just be better off getting a Male Atlas but as it stands I have a Male Hayward which may be useless?

Unless it's transitioned I think you'll find your Hayward is a female!

Sub-species doesn't matter. As long as you get a male from the same species (deliciosa) then it will pollinate your female kiwi. That's actually the definition of a species: that all members can successfully interbreed.
