  • Apple Tree help

    hi All

I have two apple trees in my garden.

Both have the red spots as in the photos.

Leaves on one don't look too good.

Also I only have 2 apples on the one with baaaad leaves.

Any ideas what the red spots may be? They are full of powder. Hopefully ive attached the photos right

The red-ish lumpy bits look like scale insects. They can be found on a wide range of woody plants but especially like to colonise plants which are feeling a bit sad.

The curled brown leaves are aphid damage.

Are the trees on dwarf rootstocks which might explain why they can't shrug off the pests?
