I'd just plant them out simply because it's what I've always done with no problems. Frost has never bothered my plants, only early flowers. Fleece has stopped that happening.
Strawberries are frost hardy.
My father always put his strawberry pots outdoors in the winter.
Mine are all outdoors and doing fine with no protection.
And when your back stops aching,

I removed mine from the plot - put them in the tunnel - they were trying to grow in the shade of next door’s walnut tree - hoping they will be happier and give us some strawberries.
