    CAREFULLY! The stone is very slippery Shirl, so you ned to grip it quite carefully. I opened it at the top (i.e. away from the bit where the stalk was attached) but slightly to one side so I didn't chop off any potential shoot. I inserted a sharp serrated knife and sort of wiggled it about until I had an opening in which I could insert a digit, then tore the outer casing. Real voyage of discovery.

      Wow I had no idea that was inside. Thanks for the photo Flummery. Nearly finished mine (bits go in my yogurt for lunch each day!), so will give it a go at the weekend.
