Lol Flum - perhaps Lionel is some sort of all seeing allotment power who appears to those who need him!

I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Any chance of sending him over to Bucks for a quick sneaky peek at my soon-to-be-plot? Wonder if he knows St Nicholas?
How are you feeling today Seahorse -up for some more digging, or unable to use your arms much?!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
Hazel - had a look from the path today and although I wouldn't swear to it, I think my Lionel *does* have some Bizzy Lizzies!
Moggsue - I'm feeling about 104 but needed to make use of a brief babysitting window over half term before my Mum had to go home, so I've been back to do more clearance today

Takeaway in order tonight I'd say!!
Well done with your efforts and fingers crossed the weather will hold out later in the week for you.
Perhaps the girls could start collecting seed heads to spray for Xmas as part of their 1/2 term project??? and a quick picnic so they don't get cold.
My kids loved being there when they were that age.
Even an hour with them on the lottie should be long enough for you to get something done after today's efforts!
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Yes, I'm thinking even a few minutes here and there will make a real difference in the long term. My girls are both really helpful (I took my eldest [10] today and she worked brilliantly) but my boys are a bit harder to manage - the little one is only two and my seven year old is autistic, so their co-operation is a bit hit-and-miss It's such a good sized plot though that I'll be very happy to set aside an area for a sandpit/play area and the girls are really keen to Grow Their Own, so I'm hopeful that we can have some good family times there
