Mouldy Raspberry leaves

I'm worried about my raspberry canes. Underneath the leaves are covered with a black mould like substance. Can anyone tell me what it is and is it terminal?

I wouldn't worry too much. The leaves will be falling off the plants any time now anyway. It sounds like sooty mould - could have been caused by greenfly secreting honeydew stuff. Rake up fallen leaves and burn or compost.

Yeah! I had visions of having to dig them all up and burn them, I'm sooo happy I can't tell you.
