Lemon Lime Grape propagation

Hello Folks,

I'm thinking of trying lemon, lime, and grapes from seed as an experiment and wondered if now is a suitable time. Also should I put in a heated propagator?

I've grown kumquats and sweet limes in a heated propagator, they are now the best part of a year old - as long as your house is not freezing and you're carful about drafts and enough light, they should be ok when taken out of propagator.

I had 70% germination of citrus seeds last December on a southern windowsill. They are over 4' now and have been chopped down a bit.

Did you just use pips from fruit you bought at the supermarket?

Yep. But I gave them a wash first. Buried them at twice their depth in a moisture retaining pH7-ish compost an kept them well watered. Red spider mite and nutrient defficiency have been reoccurring problems because they grow fast. They like it very warm and moist to germinate and lots of light.
