I've cleared some space next to my shed at the lottie and thought I might plant a blackberry to grow up (ish) it. Any recommenedations? Not fussed if its thorny, main considerations are taste, yeald and something that'll grow up my shed with some support.

Sorry this is not a recommendation but a site that has interesting choice of blackberry (with pictures) to get you started with. Personally I like them big ones.

Hi,
I just ordered 2 Karaka Black blackberry bushes as they come highly recommended by many. They are quite a new variety from New Zealand. You find out more by doing a Google on them....
I was going to spend a bit more and go for Ashton Cross or Fantasia but there more like wild brambles in that they go a bit wild if left untrained and are very thorny.
