Grape Vine

Hi,

I have just purchased a grape vine from Wilko and would like to know if I am supposed to remove the coating on the end of the vine. It is red and looks like plumbing tape. I don't want to assume that this comes off straight away. I'm only asking because it is not that easy to remove.

I know it is unlikely that I will get anything from this plant but at £4.00 I thought it was worth a bash.

Thats what they put on to protect and hold the graft in place, leaving it on wont harm it and you will find that as it grows it will come away anyhow.
