    Hi Shirley,

We had a lovely day at West Dean today. It gets better every year and the weather was just perfect.
We came home with 2 new apples trees we just couldn't resist.
Now comes the decision as to where to put them on the lottie.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the cookery demonstrations on the Waitrose stand. New for this year I believe and of course another walk round the walled kitchen garden to see all the fruit and veggies.
    A day out highly recommended.

    Beryl.

      Hi Beryl
I went on the Sunday. I agree it was a good day out. I have managed to go to all the events this year. Still have the chilli plants. Did you go to the cider tasting on the Waitrose stand? I must admit I felt quite heady. I had to have somthing to eat.

      What trees did you get?

        Hi Shirley,

Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed the Waitrose stand. Didn't get to taste the cider but the Toffee flapjacks had John drooling. I shall be putting oatmeal on my next shopping list for sure.
Couldn't resist a Hogans sausage either. - never mind the calories.
The 2 apples we bought were Rev. Wilks (cooker) and Lord Lambourne - (desert). Not had chance to get them planted yet and with the wind and rain this week-end I think they will have to wait.

We did go to the Tomato evet last year but have not tried the Chilli one - maybe next year.

Good to see they are open during the winter now - we do make the effort to walk more if the weather is good and a stroll out over the hills is very enjoyable.

        All the best.
        Beryl.
