raspberry novice seeks advice

Hello folks.
We bought a couple of pots of raspberry canes. Now they came in a pot, 4 woody stems, tied together at the base and at the top. How should we plant them? Should we separate them and spread them out?

Yes about a foot /18 inches apart

they are very shallow rooting but like a some well rotted pony poo

Try to remove all perenial weeds first then plan in a row 18" apart to about the same depth as they are in the pot.
