Hi
My old once neglected gooseberry is in the wettest corner of my allotment so keep putting off the weeding. Decided to brave it today, knelt down on my kneeling pad and the water lapped over the sides....
Anyway I persevered and as ever the grass is a real problem, it is right in the middle of the roots and main stems and I can't get all the grass roots out.
I am putting down a telephone book and compost mulch to stop the rest of it, but this grass tangled in the roots and stem will just keep invading.
Any ideas on how to get rid of it without damaging the gooseberry roots?
Sue
