fruit trees

Hi I have got my pear and plum tree in a bucket of water (bare root) as they got stashed in my mum's lounge against a radiator with her not knowing they were fruit trees.
Can I leave them in the water now til I plant them? Will prob be the weekend as got to get OH to dig the holes. Don't think he'd appreciate it if I handed him the shovel when he gets home, lol.

Should I keep them soaking or take them out? Keep them outisde or put them in the garage / shed?

Just leave them in a bucket of water til the weekend. Make sure you either remove any wrapping or at least puncture holes in it to allow the water to re-hydrate the plants tho, and they'll be fine!
