I would say you can plant them out anytime now if you wanted to, if you have any mix some well rotted manure in with the soil when you plant them and heel in well. Also if any are tree type rather than bush I would also give them the support of a tree stake while they establish a root system.

Bone meal and chicken manure will be fine, a couple of good handfuls of the chicken pellets and a handful of the bonemeal mixed in with the soil should be ok and then when you get some manure just mulch round the base of the bush.

Plant any time up to the end of March/early April. If you don't have any manure etc you can always topdress later and let the worms pull it in.

Didn’t get chance to get them in today was doing fence round the allotment so once that’s done i can dig the fruit bushes in near the fence.
I’m off work all the rest of this week so fingers crossed I manage to get them in by next weekend.
Thanks for all you advice can’t wait to get them planted in.

I've put a load of them in pots and by the next morning, all the tops are chewed off? I know it's not the dogs because I've put them out of reach were the terriers can't get to. I wonder if it's fox damage? Any ideas, anyone?

LOL that sounds so familiar! Get some photos on here soon.

Terrier that sounds strange. Birds? Rabbits? I'm just guessing.

Make sure the soil is weed free before planting and then put a heavy mulch over the ground to stop the weeds germinating. I use straw, it also helps to keep the moisture in.
