To Late For Strawberries?

Just received Sarian and Florian seeds, is it to late to start them off?

Plant half a dozen or so of each up and leave in a heated propogator or window ledge, you should be ok for a small crop this year, but I'd be inclined to concentrate on runners for next year..

I've not got the grip of this runner malarky, was gonna grow the berries in tubs, baskets, etc, whaty do I do then?
