Give it a little bit longer. I have only just started to get proper leaf burst on mine in the last week or so.

If you are worried they may have died, gently scrape at a small bit of bark with a fingernail and if you see green they are alive. Might be taking a bit longer to get going as the weather has been fairly erratic lately.

I have different varieties of currant and goosegogs, and I find they develop at different rates. My green goosegog bush is well green, but my red one is only just budding. Give them longer, as Kirsty says, the weather has been eratic.
A bad days fishing is still better than a good day at work!
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

Mine are all bald twigs except for those in the greenhouse, lot of leafy growth. That's the difference between currants left outside and in greenhouse.
