I should leave them - most things that get caught up in spiders' webs are nasties that are better kept off fruit and vegetables. I always make sure that there are plenty of spiders in my greenhouse, by transporting them from the house.
I agree!
We have a horse, and you'll find that most horse owners will happily leave spiders webs alone in a stable ( no matter how tatty and uncared for it looks) because those pesky flies which home in on horses will often get stuck in the webs.
Result...one less agitated horse!
Anyway- if you wiped off the webs without finding the spiders, they'd only create a new web!

Funny that I was going to ask if I should move a spiders nest into my greenhouse from the shed........ but thought it was a really stupid question and then promtly forgot all about it, thanks for reminding me.

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.
I always leave them. In fact, if I come across one in the house or the shed or garage, I'll take it out (in a glass - if it's a big one! - So as not to damage it, you understand! ) and plonk it down amongst the crop! Have a couple in the greenhouse earning their keep right now!
Smile! It's the curve that can set a lot of things straight!
